Douglas Munro

Head of Structuring & Solutions

Doug joined Legal & General Capital (LGC) in August 2018 as Head of Structuring & Solutions, he is also a Non-Executive Director on Kao Data. Doug was previously Head of UK & Ireland, DCM, Finance & Risk Solutions within RBS Markets division where he had key responsibility for the RBS Group and subsidiaries global capital markets activity, as well as the other top tier clients.

Working across investment banking, asset management and treasury for 20 years, Doug has advised companies and financial institutions on a broad range of capital markets solutions, funding, strategy, structuring, market execution and risk mitigation. Whilst mostly based in the UK & Ireland, he has worked with clients across EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa), North America, and Asia. Part of his career has been spent living and working in Ireland with Ulster Bank, where he was a member of the corporate management board and ALCO, with responsibility for all funding, capital, products and propositions, helping rebuild the organisation following the financial crisis. Doug has an MSc Business Information Technology Systems (BITS) from University of Strathclyde, Graduate Business School.
